Move a few sliders. See the hours you're losing to Reels, Shorts, and algorithmic scrolling. Takes about twenty seconds. Runs in your browser — nothing is sent anywhere.
Tap to toggle. Pick the ones you actually open.
Be honest. For real numbers, check iOS Screen Time. Range is 0–240 minutes.
Reels, Shorts, TikTok, For You, Explore, Popular — the stuff you didn't search for. Most people underestimate.

Dull removes that part. The rest of Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, X, and Reddit still works — friends, DMs, real posts, full videos. On-device only.
Your inputs. That's it. Dull doesn't track you, there's no server, nothing is sent anywhere. The calculator runs entirely in your browser — open DevTools, you'll see. If you close this tab, the numbers vanish with it.
It's as accurate as what you typed. For real numbers, check iOS Screen Time (Settings → Screen Time → See All App & Website Activity) or YouTube's "time watched" page in your account settings. Then come back and try again with the real figures. You'll probably feel worse. Sorry.
Short-form content is removed with JavaScript and CSS that hides the DOM elements on the platform's mobile web version. If the Reels tab isn't in your Instagram and the Shorts shelf isn't on your YouTube, you get that time back by default — there's nothing to scroll. The only way to lose time to Reels inside Dull is to actively tap the bypass button, and it logs each bypass. No willpower required.
Not supported. TikTok is entirely short-form — there's no feed hiding behind the For You page to preserve. Filtering it would mean a blank app. If TikTok is your main drain, deleting it is the only move. For Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, X, and Reddit, Dull works.
You might be estimating the wrong way. People tend to think in "I open it a few times a day" — but each session is often 15–20 minutes, and you open it a dozen times. Add them up from Screen Time, not from memory.
If hours-per-week didn't land, try the same drain a different way: how many cumulative years of Reels you have left, your daily dose visualized, or your screen time as an itemized receipt. Want a diagnostic? Take the 7-question quiz.
