Time limits & quiet hours

Hard stops.
Soft returns.

Set a daily cap on any platform. Block specific hours entirely. When you hit the limit, the app closes — not with a warning, but a gate. You can grant yourself one 15-minute extension per day per platform. That's it. You decide what "done" means.

The 15-minute extension

When a daily limit is reached, you can grant yourself one 15-minute extension per day per platform. You have to tap for it explicitly — it's not automatic. You decide if it's worth it. If you've used the extension, you'll see that noted when the gate appears again.

Why it's different from Screen Time

You set it for yourself — so there's no one to blame

Screen Time restrictions feel like parental controls because they are parental controls. Dull's limits are yours. You set them, you see them, you chose them. There's no passcode held by someone else, no guilt about asking to extend it. The limit is just a decision you made earlier in the day, holding for the part of you that wants an out tonight.

Quiet hours solve the 11pm problem

Most compulsive social media use happens in the hour before sleep. Scheduled blocks mean the decision is already made — you're not negotiating with yourself when you're tired and bored. Instagram just isn't an option after 10pm. That's what you decided. The app respects it.
